There's business in the air

SkyPro Oulu aims to develop the Oulu Region in Northern Finland into an internationally renowned centre of expertise in Air related technology.

Industrial partners of SkyPro Oulu are for example Ehovoc Oy, which manufactures incinerators for industrial VOC emission abatement, Ecocat Oy, which develops catalysts for processing emissions and Proventia Group Oy, which produces emission treatment solutions for diesel-powered machinery, heavy vehicles and power plants.

SkyPro Oulu was launched in the Science into Products and production Technologies 2008 – 2011 Project. It is managed by the Department of Process and Environmental Engineering at the University of Oulu as well as Micropolis Oy, which is a technology hub near by the university. The responsible leader of SkyPro is Professor Riitta Keiski.

Sky Pro Oulu seeks to establish a research centre on air-related technology in the Oulu Region. It will complement long-term basic research and will be able to meet prompt research needs of the companies.

According to our business partners, getting the research centre, which is related to air-related technology, is vital for business operations to ten-fold the business. For that purpose SkyPro Oulu is an excellent starting point.
