Northern Renewable Energy

New success stories

The Northern Renewable Energy project aims to profile the renewable-energy sector competence of Oulunkaari and the Oulu Region, and to advance the business development of companies operating in the industry. The project develops a Northern renewable energy network that condenses the cooperation between different professionals and advances the companies' entry into international markets and competence clusters.

Practical actions include gathering together industry companies, subcontractors, research institutes and customers into a network that covers the entire renewable energy value chain. The aim is to build a clearly profiled collaborative forum and bridge between various industry professionals.

The central aim of the Northern Renewable Energy network is to develop entrepreneurship within the industry that in turn develops into more courageous, risk-taking entrepreneurial activity and new success stories. The goals can be accomplished by strengthening existing business operations and creating new ones.

In addition, the Northern Renewable Energy project brings companies and research closer together. The project’s total budget is EUR 341,200; the project is implemented between 1 June 2011 and 31 December 2013.
