Numerous funding programmes to choose from

Micropolis Ii Oy offers companies and municipalities information on EU funding programmes, and assists them in participating in these programmes. EU projects provide excellent opportunities for networking with large international companies, research institutes and other European entities.

Several EU projects provide companies with research and development funding amounting to 50–100 % of their expenditures, most of it paid in advance. In addition to the company's own research and development work, the projects provide funding for manufacturing prototypes and purchasing external research services. Our main focus is especially on the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), which is the most important funding instrument of the European Union for research and development.

We look for funding programmes and application announcements suitable for the needs of small and medium-size companies and municipalities. In collaboration with research institutes and universities we assist companies in gaining entry into projects under planning, or in preparing their own project. Most projects require a minimum of three partners from different EU countries.

We assist small and medium-size companies in preparing project and funding plans, filling out the applications of the funding providers, and in developing specialist and business networks. Projects may focus on the development of a product, production, service or business competence in several different sectors.
